You’re entitled to your opinion. She thinks otherwise. |
This is such a stupid rationalization and marketing ploy. By FAR the biggest factor in surviving a crash is the skill of the driver by not getting into one in the first place. |
Leasing. Or used. |
What a stud |
Fun re the surprise! My good friend’s husband surprised her with the Panamera too, she loves it. No kids though so it’s her everything car hah! |
It’s definitely not about image. Who would the image even be for? It’s just because if you’re a suburban mom, a big car is convenient and comfortable. |
What’s even more questionable imo is when you go into the exurbs (e.g. western Loudoun County) and see the large numbers of high-end oversized pick-ups functioning as family vehicles. |
We don’t “need” lots of things in our lives. |
Why didn’t she buy it herself? |
I think a lot of people didn't get the memo that nobody cares what kind of car you drive after you graduate high school. |
He said she needs it to drive the two kids around. |
It's all about image, of course. She needs it to look good. |
I really don’t think these moms care about the image or what people think, they just want a big fancy suv because it’s comfortable and practical for them.
If you can afford it, and you don’t think it’s immoral to drive a car that size or whatever, there is no downside. |
Yeah I don’t get it - I’m not a big car person but grew up going to Maine for 2-3 weeks every summer where we had to bring all our stuff up like bedding/ sheets, the dog, the boat, etc. At that point you really need a Tahoe or similar for the 3 rows for people / the dog AND space for your stuff. I always thought it was a rich thing to have a smaller 2 row SUV like a Lexus RX or Range Rover size cause it meant you flew for all your vacations / leisure time whereas the 3 row SUV people were MC and did driving-only vacations. |
You don't see these mom's driving lower cost but excellent rides like: conversion vans, 2005 Astro van, or 94 Bronco. You can also customize with Cargar wheels or sunroof for fun. |
