| The best thing people can do to “help” is keep their cash in savings, out of the market. Eat food at home. The economy is going to tank; that is the only thing that will sober up the electorate. |
+1 Can't afford to keep eating out. Cutting back on typical groceries, as it is. |
| We've been using mostly local, source conscious restaurants for years, but we've cut way back and are focused on whole, mostly plant based cooking. In season, we source as much as possible from local small farmers and our own garden. |
If you are familiar with seasons, growing zones, gardening and food climates, you can probably think through a big part of the problem here. |
Absolutely not. He made this mess not me. |
| We went from eating out twice a week to once a month. |

Cut way back
I love restaurants but in this climate (vs covid) I’m feeling like it’s not my responsibility or priority Covid I had stimulus plus my employer was throwing a lot of money to keep me… now not so much |
what are you responding to? |
No. Sorry the truth hurts. DP. |
Presumably the “he” in the title? As we tell our second grader, use your context clues. |
this response doesn’t make sense at all for the quoted text it’s under. “absolutely not” is more what I was wondering about as it literally has nothing to do with the quoted. |

This thread is so lol
I help local restaurants by not eating at restaurants Just like I help the local economy by not hiring anyone for home repairs I do my duty by grocery shopping! |
| NOPE ! Every man for themselves !! Eat at home, grow vegetables! Victory Gardens are back! |
i’m just not sure who these people think they are “sticking it to” either way. Like go out or don’t. You are not making a political point either way. I highly doubt any restaurant is closing because of the random group of people on DCUM who said they are not eating out anymore. |
But how else can they virtue signal without making this declaration? |
