Are the Republicans in Congress so impotent that they remain silent about Trump’s wholesale pardoning of the people who attacked them? Their workplace? Their protectors?

They are the legislative branch of our government, but don’t care if our laws and the people who enforce them are just over-ridden by the executive?

Four years is an awfully harsh penalty for trespassing. Which in many cases is all that happened.

It’s fitting that everyone got their freedom on MLK day. He and his followers spent a lot of time in jail for one bull$hit reason after another, and then eventually the jailers lost control over the narrative.

Not sure if serious. They did have trials and convictions. A pardon is an admission of guilt.

NP. Before the last two months of Biden’s presidency, I would have been absolutely livid about this. I view 1/6 as a coup attempt. But Biden has shown that he doesn’t care about the rule of law with his clemencies and pardons. The cash-for-kids judge was at least as bad as these traitors. The family pardons are just a slap in the face. At this point, I don’t see why Trump should be held to a different standard than Biden. Biden picked his horrific criminals to favor, let Trump pick his.

I’m numb to it. Trump, Biden, they’re the same and neither cares about the rule of law. Whatever.
