This is not going to end well, and we are nearing the end.

Exactly. I hated GWB at the time but I'd take that guy back in a heartbeat now.

I didn't hate GWB. We would be lucky to have a GWB now.

We certainly would. At least he was faithful to the constitution and observed norms.

I wouldn’t say Elon’s agenda is hidden at this point.

And I have no doubt about his loyalty to this country. I mean, I disagreed with him on many many things, but I know in his heart, he thought he was doing the best for the US. That is workable. Love for country does not guide Trump or any of his cronies. Scary.

OP double up on the cookies and milk you put out for Santa next month.

Or just spoon with your 15 cats or whatever/ you need to relax.

OP, I share your sentiment and I don’t think we can survive whatever is coming.

Because a democratic president has been in office for 12 of the last 16 years, you feel entitled to a democratic candidate winning the presidency. You feel it’s not right a republican won, and instead of accepting that the candidate you support may not always win, you have concocted a sprawling conspiracy theory about russia and how America is doomed.

Democrats are really treading the same path here. They are posting topics identical to topics posted in 2016- russia, Melania isn’t moving into the WH, Barron Trump (now a college student at a highly selective business school) is autistic, Trump is going to imprison trans/glbtq/brown people in concentration camps.

It’s actually concerning. Something has happened to democrats, something very bad.

America is not doomed because a democrat didn’t win the presidency.

You think that a convicted felon/rapist who routinely insults America's citizens ( veterans, disabled people, anyone he doesn't like) deserves to be in the White House? This is not about Dem vs Republican. This is about basic decency and values.

They have one of their assets in the Oval Office of the US and in several assets in or heading the defense and national security apparatus. At the same time, they have partnered with North Korea in the ground game on the European continent. If you think, that things here in the US are not going to accelerate to the point of no return, with, what will "appear" as unintentional consequences...you are wrong. I think we are in a very very dangerous place and I think bad things are going to happen in blue states. And it will be terrorism to say, set a dirty bomb off in NYC to move the stock market to florida. It is the end of the US as we know it. The Rubicon has been crossed. Russian is going to deal us the final death blow. They aren't doing this for fun. They are doing this to win. We are actually in a war right now. No ground troops or tanks...but the Russians are here. This is going to be painful. For this entire country, save the billionaires who have fortresses.

"set a dirty bomb off in NYC to move the stock market to florida. It is the end of the US as we know it. The Rubicon has been crossed. Russian is going to deal us the final death blow."

It's amazing how Florida has come to live rent-free in so many poster's heads. It's replaced Babylon as the place to righteously condemn in jeremiads and sermons.

I love how the previous poster's conspiracy hinges on a Russian plot to use a dirty bomb to move the "stock market" to Florida. It's like a James Bond movie that was never made: "James Bond: Doctor FloridaManFinger."

To the MAGA folks on this thread:

This is the problem with a major political party adopting the language and behavior of internet trolls as its primary form of communication and main political tactic.

Is that approach funny and fun? I am sure from your perspective, it is. It can feel very powerful to make other people freak out. And it's so easy because you always have the out of "it's a joke" or to point to people like OP and say "look how insane this all is." Even though what OP is doing is taking you at your word. But you don't mean it. Except when you do. But mostly you don't. No one can know until later when you've figured out how much you can get away with.

So you'll try to overthrow the certification of a presidential election by storming the capital building in an angry mob, but also it was really just a protest and it was funny and no one meant any harm and [eyeroll] why are the libs being so dramatic about this.

But yeah that election was stolen, actually. But no this one where we won and not 2016 where we won and "Russia Russia Russia" was a hoax but also Hilary's emails were treason and Hunter Biden deserves the death penalty. I kid, I kid. No but really.

Anyway stop freaking out liberals, Trump isn't literally Hitler, he's just a regular Republican president. Except he's not going to do the normal stuff other Republican presidents do because that's lame and he's a force for change. But he's not a dictator. Except on Day One. And maybe other days but only if you test him. Kidding, kidding! Wow you guys have no sense of humor. It's not like Trump is just going to lock up his political opponents and use the presidency to punish anyone who spoke out against him or worked for his opponents or donated money to them. Except he might and also those people deserve it because they are traitors. But geez, turn down the rhetoric. You're sooooo dramatic. Trump isn't a fascist and the only people using that term are people who used to work closely with Trump before he fired them. Also sometimes Trump uses it to describe his political opponents but he doens't mean it, it's a joke. Except also it's real because those people are the real enemy, the enemy with in.

So chill out, OP. Everything's fine and you are overreacting. Not because what you think is happening isn't happening but because it's actually impossible to tell because everything we say has at least two meanings and we pick those meanings after we know how you're going to respond and they change depending on which cable news program we're currently on. No biggie. Sit back and relax. This isn't going to hurt a bit (well maybe a little).

I agree with this. Thought I did vote for Bush, but even voting for him there were things I disagreed with him on, and what's scary to me is it doesn't seem like those who support Trump can critique him in anyway.

A country founded by traitors to the British crown that enslaved people to build the country, murdered the indigenous population and has killed millions to benefit the defense industry cannot claim basic decency nor any value save for adoration of materialism.
