Trump going on No. 1 podcast Joe Rogan this Friday - per Politico

Omg the interview is BAD.
I Mean seriously bad. If Rogan really gets that many millions of listens from hard to reach independent voters, this will be catastrophic for Trump.
Joe makes Trump sound obviously stupid.
I can’t believe the Trump campaign a) agreed to the interview
B) ditched a huge Michigan campaign event in favor of this.
Maybe this whole thing should be moved to the “death spiral” thread.

Did he have some kind of meltdown while taping the Rogan interview or dust ramble on incoherently and they had to extend it to get enough material to edit together? Did he have a health incident? He was completely low energy when he finally got to Michigan. What happened in those three hours?

I mean - listen to catastrophic interview! Yeah I bet he was pretty drained when he finally got to Michigan.

I can’t listen to it myself, but the comments are overwhelmingly positive

Wow. What an epic interview. Trump could dust Harris with that.

I wish Harris were going on as well (separately of course)

A long form conversation in which she can be seated, relaxed and have time to really communicate her ideas and experiences would do so much good.

You mean like the approx 4,000 of these interviews she's done over the last few weeks?

She's been good in the sit down interviews. She's better at it than in town halls. She decent with a prepared speech but I think she struggles working with crowds. But she's pretty good 1:1. She was even good in the Fox interview and held her ground against very combative questioning.

I bet the reason she didn't do Rogan is that he wouldn't agree to certain ground rules for fairness that even Fox would agree to. Like he'd probably take portions of her interview and remix them just to make fun of the way her voice sounds or make it seem like she was farting or something. It wouldn't be worth the risk.

Have you ever listened to his podcast? He doesn’t do things like that.

You have no clue. Yikes.

We don’t all have time to listen to the gutter. He might not do that exactly, but something like that. DP.

He regularly has Neil Degrasse Tyson on his show. He has some interesting characters on but It's far from the gutter. It was a mistake to turn Rogan down if she was looking to build support with men.

+1 democrats are too busy pretending Joe has a bad show and calling everyone nazis to engage in any brief visit to reality.

They’re clueless. Supposedly Barron trump is the one encouraging his dad to go on these young bro/ social media podcasts. Trump was just on another young Gen Z male podcast Flagrant Podcast.

It was a really good interview too

This is the one where Trump called himself a very honest person and the hosts openly laughed at him.

I think Trump actually called himself "mostly honest" and Andrew Schultz laughed out loud and asked what the hell that meant.

I'm not a big Joe Rogan fan, but PP is right - you have no understanding of the format of his show.

I listen to Rogan whenever he has an interesting person in. The format is a several hour, long-ranging conversation. Joe lets people speak, is respectful, but doesn't hesitate to disagree. There is no editing that I can tell, apart from pee breaks since they're talking for 3 hours.

3 hours is a lot of time to reveal your actual thoughts, policies and plans. It's revealing.

LOL here's where Trump says a Trump presidency would be dangerous

"Only the best people" indeed...

"I know more about history than all the historians" is the kind of thing that Trump would say with braggadocio - except he doesn't actually know much about history - or much of anything else.

Donald’s little cheerleading squad on here was so sure he’d be brilliant and erudite.

Is this the October surprise?

A point where Rogan seems to start realizing that Trump is delusional and spewing lies and conspiracy theories and starts to question it...

Anonymous
Trump was babbling complete gobbledygook and word salad on Rogan's show.

Yeah, pretty sure I indicated that when I said I said I don’t have time to listen to that kind of gutter show. The clips I’ve seen over the years are dumb enough and Rogan comes across as about as bright as your average Trumper.

One would think someone who served as President for four years could correctly answer how many nations have nuclear weapons. But not Trump.
