Uh, seems like Trump's visit to the NABJ is not going well...

The mom looks Indian to me.

Mom is Brahmin, and was quoted as disrupting a “1,000 year bloodline” by marrying a mixed-race Jamaican.

There was lots of slavery in India, folks. Brahmins were the slave owners…

What in the world. Brahmins in India are of every color. And they’re all Indian.

Who said anything about color; it’s still considered “race” in India.

Guess Kamala doesn’t want anti-caste legislation in the United States. You know, Americans discriminating against other Americans:

This! I’m voting for him for the LULZ. This country is going to hell no matter who’s in charge so at least his presidency will make for an entertaining dumpster fire.

When Kamala rolls up in Atlanta, she's Black.

They call this code-switching and it's damn offensive!

Why? Unless you are exclusively in a very homogenous environment, we all identify different parts of ourselves in different situations. When I travel internationally, I'm American. When I was in a graduate seminar in a male dominated field, I was female. When I'm with my husband's extended family, I'm an English speaker.

It's not that complicated-- nor offensive.

Are you people really this stupid? The fact that she was the first Indian-American Senator does not contradict the she was also Black. Your dumbassed gotchas are all own goals.

They are still Indian. Their skin may be lighter, but they are still Indian. It's like saying East Asians are Caucasian because some of them have lighter skin than some white people.

I realize that people from areas where it borders other areas with a different race start to look more ambiguous, but in the US, Brahmins wouldn't be considered white people. Ask a neoNazi if he would consider her "white".

Harris has never stated that she is Caucasian, but she has stated that she is part Indian and part Jamaican (or black).

You don’t think it’s relevant that Kamala might come from a “1,000 year bloodline” of slave owners? You are hiding behind your obvious ignorance of Indian history. Why do you think California is adding “caste” to protected classes such as race etc.

you don't think it's relevant that Trump's father was a Nazi? You don't think the fact that Trump's ILs are communists is relevant?

See how that works.

No, I don't think the sins of the fathers should be visited upon the children. Do you? WTF does what her ancestors did matter here? If it did, half the Rs in Congress probably need to quit because their ancestors held slaves.

Seriously wtf.

As far as I know Trump’s dad wasn’t a Nazi but her was arrested at a clan riot in New York while wearing a white hooded outfit…

BECAUSE SHE WASN’T THE FIRST BLACK SENATOR, IDIOTS. But keep digging in on this, it’ll win you lots of those younger and minority voters you say you want so much.

I think this appearance was totally purposeful- he wants to make himself and his outrageous behavior the story again because no one is paying attention to him; it’s all about Kamala being popular and Vance f*****g a couch. He knows that is a losing recipe and that the winning recipe should be the media going on and on about him.

It’s just lost whatever dark magic it had. He’s boring and weird now.

I’m late to this thread but have we talked about the fact that Trump drank from Rachel Scott’s water bottle during his interview today? Who’s going to tell him? I mean for Trump, that has to be the nastiest.

People didn't think it relevant that Obama was half white and/or came from a family with a history of slave holding.

You should really stop with the identity arguments. They aren't working.

He's like that kid who told a great joke once... and then kept repeating it all year hoping to regain that feeling of being liked

Posters really shouldn't get sucked into what nationality Harris is/isn't in this thread. It's meant to distract and normalize a truly awful performance by Trump today. He was embarrassingly bad, even by his already low standards.
