Do you keep tissue boxes around the house?

Interesting discussion, I guess. Sort of a peek into how other people live.

We have one in each room, usually in an out of the way corner near the wastebasket. All of us are prone to sinus infections after even the mildest cold and these can last for a month sometimes. We don't want to sneeze and then have to hold a handful of mucus as we sprint to the bathroom. I don't do this now. I have long experience knowing when a sneeze is coming, but my kids aren't as skilled.

We have them in all bathrooms and on all nightstands. None in kitchen or living room.

I keep them in the bathrooms.

No

Yes. But why do you need a survey on this?
Do you fear you are doing it “wrong.”

People here seem to need to crowdsource every life decision.

Every bathroom has a box and depending on the time of year there may be a box on the side table near the sofa. I also keep a small travel size pack in my car.

Lots of allergies, but we’re a hanky household. Everyone prefers cotton handkerchiefs and we have a large number that just go in with the regular wash. I try to keep a box of Kleenex under the powder room sink to bring out for guests, or on the off chance someone comes down with something virulent.

I will say I bought tissue boxes a lot more often fifteen or so years ago when I could reliably find Mansize Kleenex. It was a sad day when those were discontinued.

Yes, I do.

They do look nice (most come in decorative box designs) but I have them out for practical reasons as well.

There are many situations that occur in a household daily that warrant a tissue.

Seriously, what are they for? If you need them a lot, you have an underlying medical condition that you should address.

What a weirdo you are.

I make decoupaged tissue boxes. They are fairly expensive and I can't make enough of them fast enough. They are in demand.

No because I have snutophobia and DH blows his nose in the bathroom. However, my kids use them. I get them out of cupboards where I have them stored when they come home. They're typically in bedrooms.

Weirdo? If you have a need for kleenex all day long, you basically have food allergies in all likelihood, or your house is full of mold. No one should be living like this.

Gauche? They aren’t rolls of toilet paper or sanitary supplies. People do sneeze - even visitors to your home.

Clearly pp doesn’t know what the word means. You know pp is from a blue collar family, at best, with that heaping pile of pretentiousness. Gotta laugh at the lc pretending to be uc.

You really are an idiot.

Not a single one. We have a few travel packs and tissue boxes in the pantry for when a family member is sick. Otherwise we don't use them- especially in public areas in the home where we can't immediately wash our hands. Plus who wants to stare at that?

I think if I saw them all over someone's home I'd feel like they were dirty and I'd need to bathe immediately after leaving.

That is the strangest phobia I have ever read.
