New mom kicked out of Uber

And to the above poster- how do YOU propose she got to the middle of the highway at 4am?

If you’re friends with the family like you claimed, then ask them. Instead of making up dumb stuff.

At the end of the day a woman is dead. Telling the truth could teach a valuable lesson for many people but we can claim Bigfoot was her Uber driver and kicked her out at the Telegraph exit and she wandered around by getting off of 495 and then wandered back onto 495 (even though that particular exit close to where she was found actually has a pedestrian bridge so why would you walk across 495 and not the pedestrian bridge) and in the end it’s Trumps fault. I mean, with your reasoning, why not? Just trying to explore all scenarios.

Then they sat on the side of 495 trying to get another cab or Uber from their phones, had no luck, and then they got separated trying to figure out how to get home (maybe the husband walked one way to try to get to an exit and the woman tried to cross 495 to get to the other side of the highway to a different exit)

This is ridiculous. 3 people stuck on the side of 495 for 2 hours and not a single person driving by stops or calls 911? You understand that at any given time, there are estimated to be AT A MINIMUM 250,000 cars on the Beltway (I read this when the trucker convoy mess was here and they couldn’t figure out how to stop traffic on 495 with their 100 cars; it was because there are already so many cars at any time). So no, your fact pattern is complete nonsense and you know it.

One of them should have had a phone to call police.

And you left out "Instead, it appears she made her way to the interstate from a secondary roadway"

They say the Uber kicked them out on the highway. I didn’t pry further.

There are traffic cameras all over the beltway. I am sure the police know what really happened.

The lack of information from the husband and friend is so obviously incriminating.

Well then that’s on you. If they kicked all 3 of them out, why did the husband and friend leave the woman there? huh? They weren’t with her when she was hit. So either you are lying than you know them and are a troll or you’re just dumb.

Ok, yeah, when I reach out to the husbands sister and say I’m so sorry and she says they were kicked out of the Uber on the beltway, I’m going to say “well why did your brother leave her there???” a day after she died? GTFO. That’s how you’d act?

Actually that’s exactly what I would have asked. Why wasn’t your brother with her? So many ways to ask the question. Don’t you recognize how absurd the situation was?

Not at the time, because at that time, nothing was released in the news yet about the discrepancy. This was like 10 hours after it happened. I wasn’t going to go back and reach out AGAIN to be like “ hi I know we haven’t talked in years really, but can I circle back to this tragedy of your family’s and ask some questions?”

We aren’t close enough for that and it would be creepy. And rude.

+1. Yes it’s absurd people aren’t asking.

You know what’s really more than creepy and rude? Lying to the press and blaming some innocent Uber driver for the killing of your wife or sister. What kind of a person leaves their spouse or a friend on the middle of 495 at 1am IN THE POURING RAIN!!! Did the husband just go home and go to bed and not care that he left his wife in the middle of 495? He’s lying, you know it. So stop with your wackadoodle what ifs. I hope Uber and the a driver sue them.

Usually those killed by cars on the roadways in the middle of the night were either drunk or high and walked into the road and got killed by an innocent driver.
