There are pros and cons. The biggest con being that only a very few schools in MCPS are like this. If the pros outweighs bthe cons the. They should make it a system wide change. Otherwise, why have these schools be different from the other ES.

FWIW, more schools used to be split and MCPS has gradually moved toward a K-5 model. Given the proximity of TPES and PBES, that wouldn't make sense. At one point, both TPES and ESS were K-2, and then both fed into PBES for 3-5. In the early 2010s, though, MCPS renovated ESS to allow a K-5 model.

I think they'd like to but not like that's practical given the facilities we have to work with.
