Biden falls again at The Airforce Academy Graduation

You know, there's a difference between a fall caused by old age or medical issues and a trip. He TRIPPED. I could have easily done so in that situation, too. This had nothing to do with his age. There was something he didn't notice on the ground and he tripped over it. End of discussion.

Is it okay now to criticize those who are overweight? Georgia recently had an election for governor of the state in which one candidate was considerably "rounder" than the other. It did not seem appropriate to discuss that candidate's weight.

Yes, Trump lowered the bar. He criticized other people publicly so it opens up the criticism of his appearance.

Speak for yourself. Trump doesn't set the bar for me and many others. But you go ahead and be like him.

No. We can blame the SS for not removing the sandbag. Falling does not mean a person is unfit for his job unless he/she is a trapeze artist
You might also remember trump at West Point.

The sandbag was there to cover some cords. They thought the cords might trip people up, so they put a big sandbag on the cords to keep people from tripping. Except Biden is so old and clueless and decrepit he fell @ss over Connecticut over the very obvious and immovable sandbag. He could only get back up because 4 adult men pulled him to his feet. When Biden falls (and boy does he fall a lot) he looks extremely unstable, unsteady, and physically weak. Queen Elizabeth was what, 96, and we never saw her fall? He is constantly falling.

I also have no problem pointing this out after the countless insipid threads about TFG slightly slipping on a ramp, or holding his water with two hands (gasp!!). What goes around comes around.

Yep. Biden blamed it on something.... typical. He always blames something/someone else.

And, I am sure this thread will not reach the 15 pages that the Trump on the ramp thread reached.....https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/888155.page#17399550

And, as for your comment about "what goes around comes around".... Yep. Revisiting Biden's comment....

This post is aging badly.

For the last few years of her left, she was almost never shown walking. And when she did (her husband’s funeral is all I can think of) it was slowly, and with a cane and aide at her shoulder.

Please you have no moral high ground after 1/6.

Yes, and she was almost 20 years older than Biden when she passed. When she was 80-as he is now- she didn’t have a cane or aide at public events.

The fall Biden just took was awful, and the 4 adult men working together to pull him to his feet was extremely awful. He looked completely unable to stand under his own strength or power. It reminded me of a turtle laying on it’s back/shell. He looked like a puppet pulled by strings.

Anything else?

Nah, that pretty much sums up the party line.

I fell because I didn't see a step down kitchen. I sincerely hope that you fall and find out how it feels. I needed three strong men to help me up and I was only 43!

Just wanted to note that Biden's fall was on the French national news today. I'm French, living in the US, and it's interesting sometimes what the French news picks up from this side of the Atlantic. They decided to highlight this, even though they have absolutely nothing against him (European countries appreciate his professionalism and experience, a nice contrast to the last President), because he's the President of the most powerful country in the world, and he's seeking reelection at his age. They had a video, explained the sandbag thing, and how he joked with reporters afterward (although the joke doesn't translate well into French) and did a little skip.

I may have missed some French news over Trump's Presidency, but I don't think they ever showed his moments of physically frailty. It was usually his shoving aside of world leaders, his handling of North Korea and Russia, his attack on NATO, the first impeachment, trade relations, that sort of thing. Physical frailty just couldn't compete with the more pressing concerns he was inflicting on the world! So from a French perspective, he just came across as an incompetent but frightening and powerful bully.

Just in case you're wondering about the international perspective.

Older people do trip more often.

Good for him. Perfect response.

I find it quite amusing how triggered liberals are by this thread. As if there weren't dozens of similar - MUCH longer threads - about any trips Trump had. They really can dish it out but simply can't take it.

It wasn’t the tripping. It was the weird walking down the ramp, the fear of stairs, the needing to hold a small glass with both hands, the slurring, the inability to make any sense whatsoever, the disconnect between what he perceived he looked like and how the rest of us actually saw his incredibly orange painted visage and banana yogurt hair. With Trump it was concern over his clear and advancing dementia. And that was just part of the laundry list of reasons why he was unfit for office.

It really triggers you that this thread IS ABOUT BIDEN, doesn't it? Stay on topic or be reported.

Exactly. The constant over-protective covering of Biden is so telling. We all know what the reaction would have been if this was TFG.

He also got up, gave his speech and then flew back to DC.

He fell because someone left a sandbag where it shouldn't have been.

Sandbag was there the whole time. It was holding up the teleprompter. They did not just put it there right before he fell.

He should have looked down before waking. It was there the entire time he was shaking hands.

He's an elderly, rather frail man who's trying his best. Show some compassion.

Dude just ran circles around Kevin McCarthy. I think he’s fit enough.

A President needs to be mentally sharp, some physical decline is fine. Ask FDR.

It’s a good thing, then, that he has a towering intellect and is as sharp as ever.
