Yes, you do you--which means keep your crap off my porch, especially when I've posted a sign saying we've been booed. K? -np |
Why go trick-or-treating if you're just going to throw everything out? Just walk around the neighborhood with your friends and don't take any candy. Save the earth! Boo bags were around long before COVID. |
I’m the quoted person. I personally do not toss the candy. Unfortunately for me, I help my kids eat it. I just know that a lot of people do trash the plastic stuff and either toss or donate the candy (which is good). |

I love Halloween. I decorate. We do Jack o Lantern's. I make costumes. We watch scary movies all month.
I can't stand Boo'ing. Or Trunk or Treats. Or toys instead of candy for trick or treaters. If we are Boo'ed, we will boo back. My kids like it. I have a formula, just in case. In a small paper bag, we give one dog treat (EVERYONE has dogs), two candies or chocolate bars, and one small bottle of wine. But, I would prefer that our house isn't boo'ed. |
Question -- are you a witch year round or just around Halloween, and can you kids see you for who you really are yet? |
My kids loved booing too. We only did it for 2 years and then it kind of died out. We did very little plastic stuff - it was mostly Halloween treats that you normally wouldn't put out at Halloween. The sneaking around and trying to hide from their friends was a blast. |
| I'm so stunned by the number of cat but faced women who are offended by being booed. These are dried up prunes who have no sense of fun in life. You can act like you're dead already but some of us enjoy some fun. |
Yes, because once again for those that don't seem to get it, it is meant to be fun FOR KIDS. Not parents. All the parents grousing about how much they dislike it -- who cares??? It's not about you. |
+1 Feel sorry for their kids. |
Yes, indeed they were. Here is an article from 2011: Take Back the Fright: How Martha Stewart, Boo Bags, and modern life almost killed Halloween for me—and why I’m reclaiming the holiday. https://slate.com/human-interest/2011/10/martha-stewart-and-boo-bags-almost-ruined-halloween-but-im-taking-it-back.html

I didn't know Martha Stewart started boo bags. One more point for her. And thanks for the further example of the b/tching and complaining some women can do about making a memorable childhood for their kids. Do you think it should happen effortlessly? |
Np here. You are ridiculous. No one feels compelled - that they HAVE to go on a boo someone else. Grow up. None of that means the people are attention craving. Hayzuus. Unpucker that butt. |
| Looks like some people really don't like it when you don't appreciate their activities. Insults abound. Interesting. |
Yep. I was there this weekend and almost had a panic attack. |
Would love some examples. |
