It’s a cute phrase, but many of those unvaccinated people have already acquired natural immunity through prior infection, which has been shown to be as good (if not better than) vaccine-induced protection.

Every day I talk with more and people who are fully “vaccinated and boosted” and have gotten COVID.

There are actual statistics about a lower severity of symptoms in "vaccinated and boosted" people, but I am not going to bore you with details. Instead, do you know any unvaccinated people who have ended up dead or in the ICU? I know several. Do you know any vaccinated people who have ended up dead or in the ICU? I personally don't. I know that it is a possibility, but rarer with the vaccinations and booster shots.

And thus we see the truth about supporters of The Heights. They are just all about MAGA and anti-vax. Believe that came up on page 1 of this post. Love the posters who say it's full of liberal parents. If you think they are liberal, you are off the scale to the right.

SO you are not at the school but feel like you can comment on it. My guess is that is your go-to move on most subjects.

Weak comeback which focuses on deflection. Truth hurts.

I had the same impression skimming through the thread. The OP got their wish, an unvarnished look at the real mentality behind Heights families.

I was really impressed by the student and alumnus who posted. The belligerent parents, not so much.

Well… they were also the 1st to shut down in 3020, 2 weeks before everybody else, since students just came back from travel abroad.

I'm a bit confused by the statement that the Heights was the "only school in our area that opened at full capacity." What about all of the parochials, Brookewood, Avalon, any others? How on earth was the Heights the "only school"? Also, full capacity at the Heights is how many students per classroom? I'm also confused by the statement that the Heights was the first to go back to school. Um, my parochial started up in Fall 2020. Doesn't it count? Does the Heights start extra early in mid-August or something?

I like a lot about the Heights; I just don't understand the hyperbole.

Pp probably meant of the relevant schools. Avalon/Brookwood have campuses in churches basements.

Besides didn’t those two schools start off as fake versions of the heights because the old headmaster got booted?

Hey pp, I am a registered Democrat, worked and campaigned for democratic congressmen and senators my entire life. AND I have sons at The Heights.

We are majority conservative, but plenty of representation for liberal/libertarian parents!

Please do not get fooled by the one same parent who has posted all this nonsense.

Unfortunately there will be crazy lefties/conservatives at any school, and this odd duck decided to take it to the thread and make it seem like the rest of our parents are lunatics like him.

- A 3x vaccinated parent, subject of the vaccine trials, and Heights parent!

Avalon moved to Wheaton. I was not impressed when I looked at it and the head of the school was not at all inclusive.

After reading this crazy thread, I took the liberty of listening to the podcast they put out as others had mentioned. I was skeptical, but it's actually REALLY good. Aside from giving insight into the school (which does not sound extreme, or alt-right as some of the previous posters suggest) it sounds like they sincerely care about the well-being and growth of their students. They consider so many different angles of what it means to educate. This, coupled with the posts of former and current students who are confident, well-spoken and courageous (charging head-first into a mob with pitch forks) to set the record straight makes me think this school is the real deal...as for the crazies, "haters gonna hate"

What does this mean?

Perhaps that he hires only men as teachers?
