The only downside is the menopur liquid comes in glass ampules you have to break open. It took some practice (and many YouTube videos).

Hmm, how do you know it's legit if its from overseas? Also - I'm clumsy so anything in glass is probably a no-go for me lol! But thanks!

NP and LOL, I remember those little glass ampules! I got some of my meds from Germany and they came in those. I am also clumsy but truly they are not a big deal to open, PP. They just snap off at the top - they're well designed.

Also ivfpharmacy is very well-known in the IVF community. They're definitely legit. I didn't order from them but know several people who have used them successfully to obtain lower-priced meds than you can get here in the US with no problem. The prices in this country are outrageous, unfortunately.

Ah, I'm just doing egg freezing (and only can afford it this one time), so I'm a little nervous about the idea of getting meds from abroad. Silly question, but is that even legal? The prices look amazing compared to what I'm shopping around for now and would save me so much out of pocket which I've already budgeted for, but I guess the idea of international meds does spook me a bit.

PP: If it helps, I did not order internationally for my first two retrievals last year. My response to this past retrieval was similar. I feel quite confident that the medication is the same as what you would get in the states. As to legality, I’m pretty sure the FDA doesn’t approve but they also aren’t going after individuals ordering small quantities of medication for personal use. You will need to have your clinic send you your complete prescription because you provide it to the pharmacy. If cost is truly an issue, I would order internationally. Doing so for us allowed us to be able to afford one additional cycle.
