| No, but I'm not from a small town where dancing was outlawed. |

First of all, it wouldn’t be 9months. That’s too obvious. Even when girls were sent away because of pregnancy, it was more like 6 months. Nobody shows in the first trimester and young girls bounce back really fast.
That said, this is really weird. No, nobody does this anymore. |
In 2009 they do |

Myob.
She may be pregnant and giving the child up for adoption, she may need special help, you have no idea. |
| If they are rich? Sure. |
| In HS in the late 80s an acquaintance disappeared for a very long time. She had mental health issues and addiction issues. No one assumed pregnancy. It's not 1950 any more. |
| As a teacher, I’ve never had a student leave for a pregnancy unless they are not telling the truth. I’ve had many leave for months for substance abuse rehab or mental health help. When this happens I often have to coordinate with someone in the program for work. I really doubt they are hiding a pregnancy. |
| Based on my own kids and their friends, my first thoughts would be mental health issues or an eating disorder. Pregnancy wouldn’t be on my radar at all. |
|
Like many others, I would assume it's mental health/substance abuse/eating disorder related. It was a 30 day program, but the child needed more help, so they extended.
My cousin's kid was in and out of mental health facilities for an entire year. |
They still do |
On what reality show in 2021 do they do this? |
| This is the very definition of none of your friggin' business. Gossipy caddy DCUM women -- all of you. |
| You are the worst OP. |
So hypothetically an underage girl disappears from your neighborhood for, let's say 7.5 months with no explanation and showing any degree of concern for her is being "catty" and "the worst"? Don't women and girls "disappear" all the time and we should just MYOB? FYI one of Ariel Castro's kidnapping victims was 14. Just saying. |
These are all oddly specific details for a "hypothetical" case. OP, go ask your neighbor. "Hi, I haven't seen your daughter around since January, is she ok?" Or call the police, "Hi, there's this teenage girl who lives in my neighborhood, and I haven't seen her since January, please go check to make sure she hasn't been kidnapped by by a serial kidnapper/rapist!" |
