How do you reapply sunscreen to your face?

The powdered colorscience sunscreen works very well and doesn't make your face look cakey or powdery. I usually wear Supergoop Unseen tinted sunscreen and use the powder when I need a reapplication, but there have been times I've used the powder alone and still had surprisingly good sun protection. My face always gets burned if I don't have any sunscreen on.

I don’t

If I'm out all day, I'm probably not wearing makeup. I do carry sunscreen powder in my work bag though because sometimes we walk to go get lunch.

I wear a tinted moisturizer with SPF and reapply as needed. I have an oily complexion and use W3LL People - works really well and it’s a mineral sunscreen.

+1 for Colorescience powder. It's very light and doesn't look cakey. I've found it to be very effective. I've used it for the pool and beach and I think it works as well as liquid sunscreen.

I don't reapply unless I'm doing something active like hiking or at the beach, in which case I wouldn't have on makeup. If I have make up on, I put sunscreen underneath and don't reapply, but I do wear a hat.

DP.

Even if not wearing make up though, doesn't it feel gross to re-apply on skin that might be slick or sweaty?

I feel like I need to wash my face before I can re-apply.

I like the concept but this one leaves me a greasy oil slick.

I put on mineral based sunscreen. Its good as long as i havent rubbed it off. Then makeup (light tinted moisturizer)

I can't think of any circumstances under which I would both be wearing makeup and need to reapply sunscreen. If I'm outside all day, I'm not wearing makeup most likely. But I keep a stick style one in my purse for emergencies (like a small deodorant or large chapstick) so I would probably apply that to my nose, forehead, and cheekbones.

Yes, it does feel gross, but the alternative is getting sunburned, so I put up with it. I do wash my face if I can.

I reapply elta md uv clear all the time mid day and it doesn’t feel gross at all. It is chemical/mineral though. An all mineral lotion would for sure feel sticky

This is when I bother to bring and wear a sunhat.

I am as pale as dead people, and I’ve never gotten burned with this routine:

Moisturizer with spf (let it set)

Heavy face sunblock (let it set)

Heavy foundation with spf

Bronzer

That works for local beaches. If I’m in and out of the water in Caribbean, then I need to reapply. Neutrogena makes a face mist (it’s not the spray can that was recalled).

I am also extremely fair (with red hair and freckles), and I follow a similar routine.

1. Cleanser
2. Toner (Lotion P50 or YTTP Kombucha)
3. Serums
4. Moisturizer with SPF
5. Sunscreen (obviously with SPF)
6. Foundation with SPF

I tend to shun the sun as much as possible, but when that's not possible, I reapply SPF if I'm outside for long by using a tinted sunscreen (I like CeraVe's tinted sunscreen) and then using a light powder over it to take away some of the sheen.

At the beach, I don't wear makeup at all, which makes it easy to reapply sunscreen. I also wear a wide-brimmed hat, long-sleeved sun shirt, and sit under a Shabumi for shade. As I said, I tend to shun the sun.
