quote the 0-6 scoreline otherwise you're creating adversity |
brand of soccer? lol c'mon we were direct af against Thailand |
Just trolling. No different than you idiots who are pissed that the US is competing for a gold medal. |
|
Quoting the U15 FC Dallas boys scoreline is trolling. |
I want a gold medal in THIS tournament. You don't, apparently. The state of USWNT is that they're still in contention for a gold medal. I see you're moving the goalposts: earlier this week they were going to be eliminated by Holland. Now they're going to be in the bronze game. We'll see what happens. |

Imagine being excited by be taken to PK's by a team who just qualified to play in their first Olympics.
European nations are coming on like a freight train and people don't want to see it. |
If people like you would be willing to see our weaknesses and look for ways to improve and evolve I'm happy with a win. But if you can't it will only take a crushing loss to wake you up. The Olympics don't mean that much to me, World Cup is far more important. This is the canary in the mineshaft and it stopped singing. I want regulation wins not PK wins. |
|
I want World Cup trophies and gold medals. Don't care what it looks like or how we arrive. Imagine being upset that your team advanced to the medal round in the 2nd biggest competition in the women's game. Idiots. |
I want the same thing but the current way is going to start failing and it isn't because of players. Pro teams "tank" all the time if it means improving in the long run. Our pro league is turning into bad MLS, our players are old, we have no national development structure |
Imagine the Men's Olympics being bigger than Champions League. |
There are plenty of people in these threads who agree it's time for some changes and new blood. The Olympics apparently mean enough to you to opine on them. They won the last World Cup, so it's a hypothetical canary you're talking about. As long as your goalposts keep moving, others might be inclined to dismiss your point. "They won, but... they won, but..." |
What makes you think that the US should win all the time? We have a particular style that has worked well for us for a decade. That's an anomaly. Nobody stays at the top for long. Even with our geriatric group, todays game was still pretty damn competitive and fun to watch. Moving forward, the USWNT needs to adjust just like everyone else has adjusted to us. And they will. Be happy for the competition and that we're still in the top five. We won't always be, so be happy. |
Why would I imagine that? It's not. But in present day the women's Olympic tournament is absolutely a bigger competition than the women's Champions League. |
