Doctor visits and privacy with preteens and teens

I think it depends on the comfort of the child. So long as you've discussed what's appropriate and consent with the child, and the child doesn't care...I don't see an issue.

My biggest issue as a mom is that their Peds can't be tasked to set the kids straight. And my kids won't talk to me. It's hard finding another trusted non familial adult who my kids will trust and confide in. I love their doctors, but the doctors don't truly know my kids. Spend 30 minutes a year.
