VW ID4 or Toyota RAV4 Prime?

I have an older RAV4 and really like it, but I would not buy a $50K Rav4. There are better options available at that price. Also, there have been a lot of quality control issue with newest Rav4

I would suggest leasing an ID4. I would not generally lease, but I do not trust the long-term reliability of VW electronics.

Is the Rav4 Prime easily available now without dealer markups? It's been a hard-to-find vehicle even before the semiconductor/auto shortage.

Nope. Inventory shortages are still a reality for the RAV4 Prime and many other high-demand vehicles. It will probably take another 6 to 12 months for it to be easier to buy a car without over-paying. Primes may be in short supply for longer than that.
