Why water bottle always have mold in silicone part?

My camelback has a silicone spout that gets this. Idk what to do but I’m not getting sick and it’s just a few miniscule specks.

Where do you people come from? Get a straw cleaner for it. Yuck.

I hate those straws because they are so hard to clean. Yuck.

Also, make sure you store them slightly open. They will always mold if they are left in cabinet tightly closed.

Agree! Both this PP & the OP need to wash their kids' water bottles.

I only put water in it and wash with dish soap nearly daily. https://www.swell.com/products/sip-by-swell/sip-bottles/dino-days/?attribute_pa_size=15oz&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pla&utm_region=us&utm_tactic=non_brand&utm_promo=fp&utm_campaign=&utm_goal=sales&gclid=CjwKCAjwo4mIBhBsEiwAKgzXOKthRVU2TWplW_5a6MQcySog3H3AbXeEK-ax26fhyf2n624_NKca0RoCgrcQAvD_BwE

My kid is 6. I am afraid of bottles like this because she'll inevitably knock it over at school and dump water everywhere.

There’s no way it doesn’t have mold.

No way that is a real story. Anything that has touched water for YEARS without washing will develop mineral buildup at a minimum. It would smell sour and have a slimy feel.
