We bought my ILs a digital frame and the LOVE it. Get one that has an email address so you can send photos to it remotely (and you can give the email address to other siblings too). My MIL loves to have new pictures pop up on it regularly.

Not this poster, but I've got a Nixplay one that works really well. There's an app which lets you upload pictures and control the settings.
