1. Does your team post the ladder? Yes. You have to log into Team Unify to see it.
2. How much of the ladder do they post? The entire thing. 3. How big is your team? About 130 counting the minis 4. High, mid, or low division? Low 5. Rationale behind the choice to post or not? I'm not sure. |

1. Does your team post the ladder? No
2. How much of the ladder do they post? N/A. 3. How big is your team? About 120 4. High, mid, or low division? Mid 5. Rationale behind the choice to post or not? I'm not sure but I really like the idea of posting the top 6. What aggravates me is they send out the meet sheets without times and guard the times like they are top secret. I just don’t get it as you can look up each persons time on the NVSL website. |
Your meet sheets don’t have the seed times? I don’t understand the secrecy for the top 6. One of the great things about swimming is that it isn’t subjective, the times don’t lie. I can see the argument for why a complete ladder isn’t posted, but there is no reason that the top swimmers’ times should be a secret, and the kids near the top who are trying to improve and get to an A meet should know how far away they are and how many people are in front of them. The times aren’t a secret at our pool, but there is no ladder published so people have to figure out on their own (if they care) what the ladder is. |
| We don't post our ladder because then parents will start making their own line ups and questioning why certain kids are in certain events week to week.... |
i think that is what happened at our pool. We also don't have the seeded times because parents would talk too much and discourage kids, etc. Honestly parents ruin everything. |

1. Does your team post the ladder? Emailed to parents weekly
2. How much of the ladder do they post? Whole team 3. How big is your team? 200 ish 4. High, mid, or low division? Top third 5. Rationale behind the choice to post or not? Transparency I’m glad that we are sent the ladder for transparency but they say if people start being jerks to others about it - they’ll stop doing it & I think that’s good too. |

1. Does your team post the ladder? No. But meet results are all available on Team Unify, so anyone could put one together on their own if they wanted to spend the time.
2. How much of the ladder do they post? N/A 3. How big is your team? 100-125 or so, including minis. 4. High, mid, or low division? Top third. 5. Rationale behind the choice to post or not? I have no idea. I do know the coaches and reps wouldn't do anything that could lead to low self esteem, teasing, etc. so that may play in. Plus, the swimmers going to our A meets rarely change from week to week. When they do it's mostly just because of vacations or conflicts rather than times so there isn't a whole lot of guesswork as to who is in the top 6-8 (since some kids swim only one stroke on Saturday). |

So....how many responding to this post are the same parents who say; "summer swim is just for fun, it's about the younger kids being mentored by the older kids, the pep rallies, blah, blah, blah"?
Let's just face it, summer swim - as with anything in this area - is super competitive. |
And from out of left field... This response. |

1. Does your team post the ladder? Yes
2. How much of the ladder do they post? All 3. How big is your team? Small 4. High, mid, or low division? Low 5. Rationale behind the choice to post or not? Never asked. Not heard of it being an issue, though. |
| Our team does not, and it is annoying to me. I think they used to but stopped. I really don't understand why they don't post at least the top 10 or something, for the sake of transparency. |
| The fact that NVSL calls a top time report a ladder and only swims 50s is incredibly soft. |
