Different scents work differently on different people's skin. I had a female friend in college who smelled amazing. She wore Shalimar by Guerlain almost every day. (I asked.) Years later, I bought Shalimar for my wife. It's smelled so bad on her I almost puked. She also hated it. Fortunately, I found some other nice options for my wife.
