On days like today does your car A/C actually keep you cool?

My 2015 Acura MDX gets very cold if the temperature is set too low or if the fan is set too high.

Just go to auto store ask for an AC recharge kit. Should include everything you need for 40 bucks less. Than go watch youtube. It will take you less tban ten min. Ice cold again!

My 10 year old car AC was cooling less over time. Shop would recharge it and make sure all the pressures were good, output temperature was nice and cold, but it simply didn’t work as well as when new. The shop could not find anything wrong with it until I kept complaining and eventually found out it had a pretty significant coolant leak. Had to replace the compressor and now it’s good as new.

My mechanic says the standard measure for whether an AC is working (at least, in a 2012 Subaru) is that the air coming out of the AC is 20 degrees cooler than the outside air. Mine meets that standard, but on really hot days, it is not enough to bring the temperature inside the car down to, say, 70.
