How to buy good peaches?

I smell the peaches from the store before buying but nothing beats freshly picked fruits, specially peaches. Try checking out your local farms, you will not be disappointed.

I go to the farmers market with my short ugly husband. I leave him in the car so one knows he is with me.

This. And not any farm stand. Find one that sells peaches that have the combination of firmness/ sweetness that you like and stick to buying from it.

Is that peach truck worth the money?

Like cantaloupes, they have to smell perfect. And they only stay that way for a day or two.

But, man, is there anything better than a perfect peach?
