Not sure what to think of this

I run a local agency and interview hundreds of nannies. This is a red flag 99% of the time.

I've had 2 similar situations this week alone and finally did the references and then did not move forward representing either nanny as they were so-so references at best.

HUGE difference between not giving references to an agency you want to represent out and not giving references to every potential employer who shows an interest in employing you. A nanny interviewing for a new position on her own will probably have five solid interviews - should she make each of her references field five calls before she even has an offer?!
