What stroller for this?

But for how old? We had a minu but our kid aged out of it at 3. I would not recommend to someone who might need to use it for a 4yo, and wants to use for a 2yo for more than a year. We found travel strollers generally kind of inadequate for older kids (and travel was when we were most likely to use a stroller with a 3/4 yr old, who otherwise just walked, biked, or scooted). The city mini was a good compromise. You wind up gate checking it either way.

After 3, do you really need a stroller?

We used a stroller for 3 and 4 for vacations and certain errands where we really needed to be able to go fast or where expecting the child to walk the entire time would be shooting yourself in the foot. But we live in a city and walk almost everywhere (school, library, grocery store, dentist, doctor, etc.). Kids this age can't walk or scooter (or even bike) a 3 mile round trip of errands in summer heat, so you need a stroller option for this.

Plus on vacations, it's really helpful. You can throw extra bags and stuff in the stroller when not in use, and it's just really handy to have when you have a jet lagged preschooler in a foreign city or trying to navigate and airport/train station/hotel lobby.

By about 4.5 we were able to ditch it.
