Cheaper new car I see in stock. And a left over 2020 model bottom of line Chevy.

Lumber prices have dropped a lot. There are different sectoral issues. With cars its microconductor shortage and soon will be rental car companies wanting to refill their fleets.

Do you think that prices are likely to drop in the next few months?

Can you put an actual cardinal number on this? Do you want your kid to have a car when the school year starts? Buy now.

This seems highly model dependent. If the dealer has 50 of them on the lot and they aren't selling that fast, they will deal. If they have 5 of them that fly off the lot the moment they come off the truck, no deal.

Its basic supply and demand and not all models are in short supply.

The used car marked is nuts. I’d wait a bit longer. We went to Carmax to test drive a few cars, and every car we asked about was unavailable. For example: They don’t have one local Prius in stock where I am.

Prices drop precipitously when you go outside our own DC bubble. Try looking at dealerships in Hagerstown and beyond for more realistic prices.
