Not really sure why the Texas folks are providing notary info in Texas when OP - and most folks reading DCUM looking for a notary - are looking for someone in the DC metro area (OP even mentioned needing a notary in northern VA).

A "mobile notary" is a notary who will come to you. (Pretty sure those TX mobile notaries would be too pricey to come to the DC area to notarize something for OP) Since this is an older thread, I hope the OP was able to get her documents notarized.
