While I'm liberal, I am more of a moderate liberal, and the ultra left doesn't pay any attention to more moderate stances on anything. Ranked-choice voting would require them to dig deeper in the constituency and listen to more diverse political opinions. It won't make the county conservative, but you might find some successes on some issues, particularly when it comes to business development.

Ranked choice lets the far left vote for far left candidates. There will be less compromise.

No. That's all that happens now.

Fringes on both sides.

And, since when is Biden a far left candidate?

MoCo Democrats are.

I mean, you can go vote on Tuesday if you want. The Republicans had a convention of sorts with drive up voting in locations throughout the state. They have picked candidates already. Sorry you missed it?

Heh. NO SOUP FOR YOU!

Sorry, but you’ll need to quit your Republican identity and register as a Democrat to vote on the party’s candidates. If you don’t like “identity politics,” you should have no problem doing this.

I don’t understand this. Virginia voters don’t register by party.

Republicans made the change to try to muck around in Dem primaries. And then when it stopped working, Virginia Republicans ended primaries for their party and only allowed a convention filled with conservative elitists to choose their party's candidates.

Republicans don't like voting. Period. They are a party of elites.

PP is a Republican. Of COURSE they like identity politics.
Republicans invented identity politics…
White identity politics.

That was what Nixon ran on. White identity politics.
White identity politics was the Southern Strategy.
And it was Lee Atwater.
White identity politics was Reagan 1980 at Neshoba County.
White identity politics was Willie Horton.
White identity politics was GWB’s campaign smearing McCain for having a black child.
White identity politics is Fox. And was Limbaugh.

The whole modern GOP is built on white identity politics!!

If Virginia Democrats opted to give weekend furloughs to criminals, I would want Republicans, and other Democrats, to run on that issue.
