Spring Essentials on a Budget

What about some cargo capris and a great tshirt and sporty ballet flats or some such thing? Messenger bags sounds about your speed. Check out some Japanese brands on line. Jeans and a cool top are always good. Add a unique piece (a summer weight scarf, an unusual coat, a great vintage bracelet). You don't sound like the capri pants, ballet flats and Jcrew tshirt type-- and why should you be-- ? Be yourself, get some things that fit you well and go for it. Somehow I am picturing you in a great wrap dress with a tank underneath and some rockin boots (fryes? motorcycle?)

Thanks pp! I dont mind cargo capris. Hell I got married in a pair (I was in my third trimester and said to hell with dress shopping). I don't need to look like everyone else, I just want to look put together, yet I don't want anything that I'd be afraid to get yogurt splatters on as my youngest thinks spoons are for decoration.

op you owe an apology for being such a rude person with the nanny comment. I bet your too fat to fit in your cloths and that would make you not look like the nanny because most of the ones I have seen look pretty good.

OP here. Hi Angry Nanny. I think you're in the wrong forum.

But to answer your not-a-question, am I fat? Well, one person's fat is another person's *thick* or *fit* or whatever. Could I stand to lose a few pounds? Of course. I had two pregnancies with 4 months between them, then spent the next year in survival mode with 2 babies who needed needed needed, and never the same thing. The important thing is, minus my crappy wardrobe, I'm happy with who I am, and, big butt or no, my DH still thinks I'm attractive.

Now, whereas I'm working on losing the weight, are you working on not being such a snarky bitch? How about your grasp of basic grammar then? Yeah, I thought not.

At this point, you both sound like self-righteous idiots.

Try garnethill.com or sierratradingpost.com for essentials on a budget and review your look in Lucky magazine or Marie Claire (101 ideas section). You can always alternative it up with urbanoutfitters.com accessories from the Sale section (I love cruising the sale section by price points...esp. for tights, cheapo tees, etc.) Another favorite for up-and-coming designers is yoox.com (you can also search by price point). I am going to try and do the same for myself as I do for my kids-- lay out my clothes the night before, get up early and do something with my hair and makeup-- ha ha! Good luck and happy updating!
