This is only true if they’ve ejaculated without urinating prior to intercourse. The pull out method works, and my husband and I used it for six years prior to trying to conceive. I got pregnant the first month we decided to try. It is not fail safe, but neither are condoms, the pill, an IUD, the sponge, the shot, or literally any other birth control.

The pull-out method is effective 78% of the time.
Condoms: 98% of the time
The pill: 99% of the time if you never miss a pill; 91% if you skip one
IUD: 99% effective
Sponge: 86% effective
