Baby proofing the floor

I’m assuming you don’t do anything for their knees, right? Just let them toughen up? Baby started army crawling all over so his knees are getting red. Would you do pants to keep knees covered or don’t even worry about it?

I did pants, but also my kid took off crawling in the fall so I didn’t really think about it.
