Gym shoes is a strange way to phrase this. You are looking for fashion sneakers.

Yep. Actually, gym shoes are entirely different.

As for fashion sneakers, I love my Chuck Taylors, white leather Keds, powder pink Ecco and dark blue Clarks leather sneakers. They go brilliantly with all of my midi and maxi dresses. I am also thinking about buying white leather Lacoste sneakers.

If you have high arches and like the look of Converses - which I do - my new favorite brand is Taos - they have some cute ones.

I was going to say Taos also. They run a bit small so go up in sizes.

They are cute. Like a higher quality Keds. I saw them in a Kelly green recently and have been debating buying them.

I have 5 pairs, mostly in suede...super comfortable

I have Carumias- they are cute and remind me of Chucks. I think my sneakers will be need to be broken inbrfore I start wearing them w/o socks. I

I also got a pair of the slip-one for walks to school/potzing around the garden.

Note- I had to wait a month for the shoes to arrive as the company is very environmentally conscious.
