Ideally the first team — provided they have the resources to do so. It’s in their best interest to develop players that they can then use on their first team or sell for handsome profits.
USL clubs and solvency are not two things that go together. Also, how many kids playing high level soccer would forgo college for USL?
This poster is clueless or a true. If your kid has any talent and wants to go pro signing for MLS or USL Championship is in their best interest. Look at Kevin Paredes for DC United. Is this for every player? No way. But if you have talent and can make money right away — do it.
USL is for desperate wannabes. Nobody fore goes college in this country to play in a semi-retired league
