Why did your DC leave his/her club? What age?

Left because club doesn’t know their market niche, it has no vision. Club favors a few players that dream to go pro/Nt and club ignores all other players.

Many kids left my DD's club at U13 to go to ECNL teams.

Coach is only able to teach the game as he played it.

My DD left because the girls were toxic and their parents not much better. Coach showed favoritism to a few girls. Too many practices and too much driving for nothing. DD came to realization she was probably not going to pursue it in college and since she wasn't happy, it was a total waste of time and money. She enjoyed it for years, but soccer had run its course for her.

Club hasn't been able to attract enough players in my DC's age group so we're forced to play as a mixed age group team. Playing up a year is fine if the talent is there, otherwise it makes for very lopsided teams.

So did she quit playing soccer altogether? I hope not--that would be so sad.

Organization is toxic and unethical and leadership is pure evil. The wins weren’t worth it.

13.

Burned out.

Hated his coach. Thought drills/practices were poorly planned and game strategy was thrown out the window in a desperate attempt to win.

Was indifferent about his teammates. Felt they didn't play well but like to yell and scream.

Disliked (greatly) the time commitment. Said his life was school, soccer and sleep.

U13. Things got stale with the old team

Hmm. Not seeing anyone actually leave because they didn't like the league the club was playing in? So all the heated discussions on this forum about players leaving because of league considerations is not true?

We did, twice. Once as a whole team which wasn't really our individual decision but we just went with the flow. The second time is this year because we feel that the club, although considered good, doesn't develop.

So you left because of the club, not the league. Point is league is not a main reason people switch clubs. People leave clubs, coaches, toxic players, but not leagues

To 16:21: the league is part of my decision but DD doesn’t care about that. I am the one sick of driving 5 hours on a Sunday for what amounts to a local matchup. CCL is ridiculous.
