correct, but if you keep track of your mileage you will have a lot of fewer oil changes with my non plug in hybrid i had i was doing yearly oil changes. 12k miles a year maybe half of that was engine based miles.

i would expect that with my plug in, i'd be able go 2 years between oil changes based on engine miles.

and oil changes will cost you 30 bucks... not exactly a deal breaker....

I thought you still had to change your oil at least twice a year, even if you don't drive much. That's yet another reason I'm thinking about an EV.

Admittedly, I don't own a Tesla. But, how long are the directions? I'm sure it's not as short as the directions for a hair dryer.

How many people actually read a lengthy manual of a car to know how to operate it?

How many people actually read a lengthy manual of a car to know how to operate it?

It's pretty basic of any battery powered electronics...if you leave it sitting around for months, the battery is dead next time you want to use it.
Obviously, this is incredibly, incredibly rare for EVs.
