SUPER Y

Wait a minute. Is there travel for Super Y? I thought it was just a fun, local thing where we never left DMV.

WTF!! NOOOOOO! I did not read the fine print. I assumed all games were FFX Co. I'm an idiot who will now be schlepping around in the heat. Awesome.

Ugghh, I made the same assumption, just looking at the divisions, I thought it was basically Prince William up to Bethesda. Oooops

My kids team sgonna make it to nationals

Yeah, my son asked me if I was going to be willing to buy him a plane ticket to Florida. I assured him that it was a long shot that this would even come up.

Only the top teams from each division around the country get an invite to Florida.

Is it the number 1 and 2 ranked teams in the divisions? Or the top 3? Just curious hah. I wouldn’t mind taking a trip to Florida in the winter.

Bethesda and Maryland Rush usually have Super Y teams. Although not directly representative of the regular season, it is a good chance to get a feel for the club also.

No Washington Spirit?

You can try here. Program is called the Majestics but great coaches from McLean are onboard for this age group.

DS played Super Y (on an U11 Arlington team) two summers ago and we didn't have to travel very far afield. I think the furthest we ventured was to Bethesda's ridiculous fields in Poolesville, MD! So, depending on the age group and teams entered this year, PPs may not have to worry about too much travel after all.

Northern Virginia is all playing near George Mason University. There is almost no travel.
