As long as the YNT asks for players from GA it's fine.

That’s not how it works. But I’m sure you will figure it out

Any parent should look at multiple clubs before making a decision, but to say the GA is dying without even giving it chance to grow is pretty ignorant!

GA is dead in terms of an elite league. That’s a fact. Will it still exist….sure….but so do a million other leagues

Is there any decent-sized club that is NOT regularly bashed on DCUM?? )

Don't worry ECNL will be dead in few years.

GA is fine but IMHO, its expensive and a lot of travel for inconsistent competition, particularly in the mid-atlantic division. All of the top teams have already left for ECNL. ENCLr is another option. Good competition, less travel and expense. GA teams will let you play as a discovery or guest player if your DD is at the level and wants to compete at that level without the full time commitment.

Where did you see Metro was good for development ??? Not one team has a winning record

Of those 3 things you are commented on 1) frustration with team 2) be challenged 3) be appreciated - these are hard to reconcile. Good luck in your search!

It's good for development if you play up 3 or 4 years. I think the club was created with one player in mind to get her to US Camp in order to gain momentum.

Just go to FCV. Once ecnl folds, you’ll be on the best team in the top league in the country.

OP here - exactly.

And we've looked at several clubs already, esp. on the ECNL side. She has one written offer that I just asked for a few extra days on and some verbals. We want to make sure we're making the right choice.

To the MU parents - truly, thank you for the insight. It helps. It's hard to get a good read on the clubs given the vitriol you find on some of these forums.

You have an ECNL offer? Why are you not taking that?

Because its a troll thread no one wants to be part of Metro and staff is trying to make it popular but it isn't working. Focus on your current teams now and maybe you can actually achieve a winning season for once

OP here - I never said it was an ECNL offer. We are literally looking at EVERY avenue. My daughter plays at the EDP level right now - the written offer she has is for another EDP team, not GA or ECNL.

As for the person calling it a troll thread - it's not. What works for your kid may not work for mine and vice versa. Let people live, dude.
