Do you recommend taking off work or requesting telework for IVF

That being said, I wanted to telework on my blood draw days because I need to put in my full hours at work and don't want to stay longer on some days. Should I just go to work and take an hour of leave when I can't make my full day? Was it stressful getting to work after?

Your blood draw days are going to be like every other day for 2 weeks before your retrieval, FYI. Not sure how much telework flexibility you have.

I would recommend teleworking 1-2 days prior to retrieval (when you’ll feel uncomfortably bloated) and day off on the day of retrieval. Potentially telework the day after if you need it.

OP here. Thank you. That's great advice. I will try to telework before the retrieval so I'll be more relaxed. I will definetely either telework or take off two days after the retrieval.

I've only don't egg freezing but it's the same process. Only took off day of retrieval. The appointments are very frequent but all before 830 am, went to work regular hours. I did not feel comfortable telling my boss but it only impacted 1 day of work.
