I'd hit it.

He's small, I wouldn't unless paid for my time.

Jolie f*cked with his mind.

Yep. Angelina had a lot of mental issues and drawn to drugs. She was a cutter.. She also was a lesbian for awhile and made out with her brother.

She had a lot of dysfunctional relationships prior and had a penchant for going after men that were already engaged or married. Her daddy relationship was messed up so it's Psychology 101 on why this was the case.

Brad always struck me as not that bright and gullible. I think he got in way over his head, was depressed and got heavy into booze in that relationship.

I think he sought out girls like the ones back home at first, sunny and blonde like Gwenyth and Jennifer. Married Jen because it seemed perfect but it wasn't, and I think she doesn't want children. Which is no knock on her but if she wanted one she'd have one by now. And he clearly did want children. I think this was already an issue in their marriage when he met AJ.

AJ, whatever you think about her, clearly values having children and wanted to be a mother. He met her, she was doing this thing he wanted to do with JA but that was causing friction (building a family), she was smoking hot and they had electric chemistry and so that happened.

Then he was with her for a decade having kids and building a family. And for many MANY people having young children is difficult and stressful. They also made that movie about a couple having problems and I thought that was a bad idea. Acting is emotional, acting like you hate your spouse is just asking for trouble. They should have made another movie about wanting to have sex everywhere. The story of, 'person has a bunch of kids and has some marital disarray' is a story as old as time.

It sounds like he's gotten it under control in the aftermath. And now he's one of those guys who drank too much and got divorce and has iffy relationships with his kids. I'm sure you could find plenty of similar albeit more budget stories in his home town in OK.

Agreed mostly, minus the "girls back home" part. It's just not that deep.

BP was my teenage crush so I kind of followed his dating life in the magazines. He has always been a serial monogamist and was always in a relationship. Do you guys remember he dated Juliette Lewis when she was underage? And dated Robin Givens, which almost got him in trouble with Mike Tyson.

The kid thing is what broke his marriage with Aniston. She didn't want them - which is totally her right. But he desperately did. He gave interviews talking about wanting kids, where as Jen gave vague answers. Angie was hot, wanted to be a mother, and had a ready-made family already.

Brad wanted kids. That was Angie’s appeal. Plus, Angie was deep and dedicated to charity. Jen does charity, but isn’t very involved.

I don’t think Jen milked the failed relationship to boost her career. I do think her team curated a victim narrative that included the baby/is she pregnant/is she struggling with fertility issues that kept her on the cover of magazines.

... I don't think having kids was Angelina's appeal. It might be that family is what kept them together so long.

I don't understand people that don't see this. They got together and ended up with six kids!

The same thing that has always been going on with Brad Pitt: the lights are on, but nobody's home. A few fries short of a Happy Meal. However you want to say it, there isn't much going on upstairs.

Agree, why on earth would you choose someone with her history of obvious mental illness to procreate with? He was drawn to her for excitement primarily. Aniston retained all their friends after the breakup. They clearly felt she was wronged, and that seems unlikely if she were "denying" him children. Her friends insisted in that famous Vanity Fair article she was the one who wanted kids. It's possible she had trouble conceiving and he met someone else he was hot for and didn't want to hang around and work it out. And Jolie, who said she never wanted bio children, got knocked up in a red hot second. Who knows how long that relationship would have lasted if there weren't kids involved. Not long, probably. I think he was miserable, but stayed (too long) for the kids.

I used to think that but don't now given his incredible work with Plan B. But he's always dated stronger personalities, which made him look weak and clueless.

A few years ago, some DCUM lady wished her husband would look at her like this. It's all an act.

Their relationship seems to have been volatile, with lots of ups and downs. Mainly they were incompatible in the end, which anyone could have seen.

I work for a nonprofit and do this kind of thing. I VERY much doubt Brad is the ideas man there. Lending money and your pretty face is laudable, but not proof of intellect.

+100

She really didn’t have to act in that movie where she played the mental patient.
