Where do you buy your inexpensive plants?

Do not spend a dime on Ivy. You can pull it from any corner and shove it in a planter. It really should be illegal to see.

It is horrible invasive and kills trees.

Buy an organic sweet potato and sprout it in water to make several sweet potato vine plants. The non organic ones are treated to not sprout.

On my buy nothing group people share and divide plants.

We budget for annuals and buy several a year. I like that they come back year after year. The ones from the fancy gardening shops survive better than Home Depot. After 5 years of living here we have a really nice garden and landscaping.

But probably not from a hanging basket

OP, if you're in a Buy Nothing group, ask if someone would let you take some of their Ivy. You'll be flooded with offers

Annuals don’t come back every year? You have to plant them yearly. Perennials come back.
