This is false. Air Tags are not limited to a range of 30 ft. And they’re most definitely not the same thing as Tile, let alone “literally.” |
My tile has been working great for the past three years. Would definitely get the new tags to put in my car, though. |
|
I was interested in putting it on DS’s lovey. Every night we’re looking for that doll
I read somewhere it has anti stalking measures so I’m not sure it can be used on people. But yeah I’m definitely putting it on my kids backpack so I can see when the bus is arriving. She’s too young for an iPhone. |
| I thought someone in this group would mention a spouse. |
Yep- everyone in my city has an iPhone. Tile can’t help you track down a person/object that’s been lost or stolen and is a county away. |
| Apple thought of the stalker problem. And found a solution. If an Airtag that doesn't belong to you starts going everywhere you go, your iPhone will notify you that there's an unregistered tag following you around, and you will have the option of disabling it with your iPhone. |
What if you don’t have an iPhone? |
Those people are Luddites and need stalked. |
| Last year, Amazon Sidewalk said it would be supporting Tile devices (or vice versa depending on how to read it.) So every Amazon Echo and Ring doorbell would be Tile sensors. I don't know if that has happened yet. |

The battery is the AirTag is allegedly easy to replace. My Tile died within a year.
We are putting one on the dog and on the kids' bikes. |

The first thing that came to mind was attaching it to my cats’ collars. I have 4 who are strictly indoor cats and are microchipped but we usually take them with us on long road trips.
They’ve been to the West Coast and we are going again. My nightmare is that one jumps out of the car and makes a run for it at some rest stop. Having a way to track them will be great! |
Then you go with Tile. |
