I don’t understand this, you have dogs and children to enrich your life and provide for theirs. That’s an emotional need. It’s not bad.
Having an unhealthy relationship with your dogs or children or abandoning them is completely different and is a problem. |
Maybe millennia ago (we don’t really know) but treating dogs on par with human children is also a very old practice. |
