does your face go numb when you have caffeine?

That is a classic cross allergy response: you are allergic to certain pollens and your body thinks the fruit are the same thing.

Interesting to hear that bc I get so congested when pollen is high (but not numb!)

Great.

But seriously. If I exceed a very small caffeine threshold (like 6oz of coffee is fine, a Starbucks is not), my face and neck feel numb, my fingers and sometimes the sides of my feet feel tingly, etc. It takes hours to resolve completely.
What could that be?

Is this a new thing or always happened? Covid shot recently? KIDDING! everyone calm down

You are oversensitive to the effects of caffeine. I would bet $20 it’s not an allergy.

Yes. Turned out that I had heart blockage. Massive ones.

So some stents and Starbucks is fun again.

It's not sensitivity - that would be a high heart rate, palpitations, tremors, sweating, anxiety, irritability, etc...

I had a slight amount of coffee and an hour later face numbness like when you go to dentist. I have had this before. I too think it’s weird but after looking it up I realized it’s caffeine. I can drink Diet Coke but that’s about it without side effects. I usually drink decaf and have had no issues. It’s a freaky feeling. I’m glad I found this site.

Are you taking any medication?
I take topamax for migraines and I get this when I have caffeine. It doesn’t happen when I’m off topamax, so I know that’s what causes it for me.
