This was the team that played in Bethesda last weekend. Penn rank #15 http://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/results.aspx?Level=State&Country=&Gender=Boys&Age=13&state=PAE&search=&pos=1 The link the pp posted is to an FC Delco MLS that is ranked #159 in Penn. |
The mls team is new and they have not been posting scores. You are reading the notes but not hearing the music. |
| I think that there are so many leagues now. It's all a bunch of BS. And, really, who needs to travel that far for regular season games for kids? |
|
They could just play local teams Bethesda Academy, Baltimore Celtic, Loudoun, SYC, Alexandria, McLean, etc. and get similar challenge. If not challenged, let the teams play up age divisions. But, driving to the Carolinas or up to NYC, etc for regular season games is what has made a mockery of this youth soccer business.
By all means, travel for a few tournaments where you can play against teams from other states--but it just isn't necessary considering how big the local region and how many teams are at the same competitive level. |
Those destinations were for tourneys. For other leagues, I agree, but if your kid is elite, then going to NY or PA to play Red Bulls or Union is a big draw. |
| Much rather travel to NJ for NY Red Bull game (MLS Next) than to Columbia, SC (ECNL) for a game. |
