You mean the GOP’s insurrection? That’s a comparison, I guess, but it’s really more of a contrast. |
+1 The GOP insurrectionists had zero right to be there. This woman is a lawmaker. |
| Who cares if she was a “law maker” or an “elected official”?? She did not listen and was using her privilege to try to get into the room where she wasn’t invited. She was warned but did not listen. |
Okay, white boy. |
Why didn’t they just let her in? She is a elected official, what’s the big deal? So maybe so says something in protest as the bill is signed—is that a worse look than arresting an elected official in what is basically her workplace (a minority female, at that)? It seems boorish. |
| That was one of the most horrifying things I’ve seen in a long while. Nazi Germany immediately came to mind. How is this possible? |
Hi - Are you coming out of a coma? If yes, let me fill you in. Republicans are not trying to hide their love for fascism anymore. They openly do it now. ANd it’s not just black people they are trying to disenfranchise. It’s also white people who vote for democrats. OK...you’re caught up! |
Thanks for the gratuitous sarcasm. I’m fully aware of the fascist tactics of the right. But there are some incidents that are so brazen that they just take your breath away. This was one of those incidents. Here’s a tip...don’t try to antagonize people who are on your side. It’s not a good look. |
DP. With the number of pretend Democrats on this board who enjoy sowing discord, try not to take every post so seriously. You’re right, it was rude, but only lightly rude. The GOP is fully fascist now. We do need to work together to oppose them. |
Oh, pp. You sound young, naive, and a bit paranoid. Do you even know what "fascist" means? If so, please provide a specific example of how the GOP has gone "full fascist." |
|
Brian Kemp is not good.
That photo of him surrounded by other elderly white men — with a painting of a plantation behind them — said they are full of hate and they are ignorant. |
40 is young, naive and a bit paranoid?
And I am done casting pearls before swine, PP. Anyone supporting the GOP at this point is a fascist. |
I see you can give no examples. And, yes - you are young, naive, and paranoid. |
DP. How are the Republicans not fascist? They supported and then tried to minimize an insurrection against the Capitol, they continue to worship a solo figure instead of having real policies, and now they want to prevent voting and rig elections in their favor. |
Not one thing you said is true. Not one. |
