The CDC looked at data from schools that have been open all year, some full time with minimal distancing, and concluded that 6 feet is unnecessary. |
This is why. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/we-now-know-how-much-children-spread-coronavirus |
The science says that little kids hardly spread Covid. Even so, I can't see the imbecile Bowser sycophant Chancellor Ferebee bothering to push DCPS elementary school admins to get more kids into seats for Term 4. A few more kids will return, but that's about it. |
What school is this? Or at least say whether this is a charter or Dcps |
This can’t be true or has to be a charter. DCPS has still not issued guidance to principals about what the Term 4 requirements are. They are coming Tuesday. |
| Please share which school. Really great news. |
Huh? I heard that Key is staying the course with the setup from Term 3, only offering a few seats. |
Sorry, meaning only offering a few seats that have become available for term 4. Lots of kids currently have hybrid seats at Key. |
This is what my friend said. Maybe she misunderstood. Does anyone understand why schools would not just offer full day school? It seems like less work for teachers than hybrid to have all the kids together. |
Because they have to teach virtual kids too and not all are willing to do simulcast full time. At least they won’t at our school. Also 3 feet may still not allow for all kids to fit. |

Message from Deal:
Term 4 We are grateful to all families who responded to both queries regarding in-person opportunities for Term 4. Please know we are planning for full in-person learning for the 2021-22 School Year and we are committed to providing for interested families. |
What did they say about Term 4? |
It’s also not true that they offer hybrid FPS lol who want it. My friend has been repeatedly denied a hybrid spot for her kids, although we know there are less than 10 kids in that class. |
For all who want it* |
They’re trying to accommodate all. Email coming to parents who requested it. Stay tuned. |
