Will daycare centers ever go back to serving lunch?

Ours stopped serving hot lunch but offers a bagged lunch for an extra fee, we pay the extra for the convenience.

Ours wasn't serving lunch when it first reopened in June, but started serving it again around January. I think it was mostly budgetary, as they laid off the cook, and now use a delivery service.

Ours is a nut-free school and the only lunch provider we could find that guaranteed nut-free lunches for the children closed last year and hasn't re-opened. We'd love to provide lunches for the children starting in September if we could find a vendor.

If your center isn't offering food, consider suggesting they look at a catering service like https://www.centronia.org/niacentral-catering/

Ours used to have a chief and served hot lunch daily in a family-style format, but did away with that due to Covid. This year we've had to pay extra for bagged lunches. They actually just told us this week that they're raising tuition and lunch will be included in that cost. I'm not sure if it's still going to be bagged lunch or if they're going back to hot lunch.
