Fitter Faster Swim Clinics?

Anonymous
The fitter faster camps (or any swim camp) are truly a money grab. Will your kid pick up a new trick or two? Maybe. But if they don’t regularly practice and implement those tricks, it won’t help. Most swim coaches don’t want their swimmers attending them anyways. They spend months trying to develop their strokes and don’t want a random person changing them. Maybe if your kid doesn’t train with their club during the summer, it’s a means to keep them swimming, but really how beneficial is it? Outside of the cool factor of meeting an Olympian, there’s no quantifiable benefit in the pool.

It is insulting to any coach in PVS that they even send these emails on the company’s behalf. The subtle message is-your coaches stink or aren’t good enough so come here. The sad part is, it is not the coaches that have the issues it is usually the swimmer. As said above no tricks can help that.

Your summer pool. We stack private lessons all summer, as many as we want. And the coaches know our kids and their strengths and weaknesses.

P.S. 1:1 private lessons from our coaching staff are 25-35/40 for half an hour.

Better yet, let your coaches coach.

Fitter and Faster is an oxymoron. It’s not so dissimilar to let’s say, jumbo shrimp.
