This. Wild salmon run just a few months every year. Unless you’re paying to have it air-shipped directly from the boat in Alaska in the summer (this can be done — it’s wonderful, but $$) when the Salmon are actually running, there is no such thing as fresh wild-caught salmon. However, I much prefer frozen wild-caught salmon to farm raised. |

Profish prices their salmon at farmer’s markets more than double the price when picking up from their truck. (Over $20 compared to $9 from what I recall.) |
